hi, I am Sara! I married my best friend {Greg} on July 2010.

Shortly after our marriage, we adopted our puppies: Denver & Jackson.

On November 28, 2012, we became the parents of two beautiful girls {Caroline Ruth & Savannah Blake} via gestational surrogacy. Our girls were born at 28 weeks, weighing 2 lbs, 5 oz & 1lb, 11 oz, respectively.

There's so much more to our story {ie: I was born with a congenital heart defect and survived 3 open heart surgeries, Caroline had a grade-three brain hemorrhage at 7 days of life and now has a VP (ventriculoperitoneal) shunt, Greg was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure on Jan. 9, 2013 and is on dialysis} but that's us in a nutshell.

I'm starting this blog for myself: somewhere to put my thoughts, emotions, etc.. it's a collection of my innermost ramblings. Please don't be offended if I don't post on a regular basis-- I can't force myself to write.
